on pop-up, which I have scripted to not show status bar, status bar
still shows up in Firefox. Any way to get Firefox to open pop-ups w/o
status bar at the bottom? thank you.. Frances

If you want to allow it in YOUR browser:
Tools -> Options -> Web Features
Advanced (button)
Allow scripts to:
(uncheck) hide status bar
You can''t force it in MY browser.

Always remember to specify on these groups if your stuff is for an intranet
application.
There is more leeway for putzing with things on an intranet, since you
usually know a lot more about your clients than on the WWW.
The comments I posted stand, however -- you still can''t force it in Firefox.
Make your clients use MSIE like everyone else. LOL
(or just put a notice about it on your stuff and let them enable status
hiding if they don''t want to see the status bar)
If they''re REALLY dumb and can''t figure these things out, use a div that
mimics a window instead of an actual window object.
