Even if you could, it would be browser specific rather than a "page data" feature - so it would probably have to be a user settings feature and you don't get access to those.
And you certainly can't turn it off in Chrome: Google Groups: Disable the pop up status bar[^]

It means you are using anchor tag as a button.

Better use button or anything other than an anchor tag.
