Hi everyone,
I am working on a lan chat application which will not use any dedicated server i.e. no one needs to host. my problem is when the application starts it needs to know who else are using the same app on lan. once the app knows all the ip address it is done. got any idea to do this? thanks in advance. :)

Maybe you should have a look at the Peer Name Resolution Protocol[^]. It sounds rather promising although I have not yet had a deeper look at it.
