Hello ! I am trying to increase the difficulty of my program to get runtime readed(not necessarily dumped). I made a huge google search, and i found VirtualProtect(and VirtualProtectEx) methods which can set the memory protection option to PAGE_NOACCESS or other options. Is this the right way to prevent a program/user to read the memory at runtime ?

What I have tried:

See VirtualProtectEx function (Windows)[^]. This only works for Virtually allocated memory.
