Hello everyone.

Can anyone help me with any kind of suggestions, source codes, articles and other relevant details on making a database as a central server where the tables of the database will be accessed by 3-5 users at a time. They all will be connected via LAN.

I have been looking for the perfect material but its just creating a confusion. Please help me in this.

What I have tried:

I haven't created such application before. So, I was expecting a maximum support. Is there any tutorials, articles or other resources that I need to go through? I know the language.

There is nothing special you need to take care in designing such database. It's just the same as what you have been doing to create a database those are used in standalone applications.

You need to enable connecting though TCP/IP protocol. That you can do through SQL Server Configuration Manager. You also need to make sure that your Firewall allows the connection from remote machines. If not, you can add a rule accordingly.

You need to make sure that, the connection string contains the full server name instead of (local) or any other alias. You can even use IP address of that machine which you want to serve as Server but make sure that you have a fix IP instead of DHCP generated.
