Seriously, you don't want an online guide as your only source for learning this. WPF has quite a steep learning curve. Get a book on it and work through it. With online tutorials and articles you are going to miss so much detail that's going to prove important later on.

Besides, if you just create a WPF project from Microsoft template, you will better see what it can be, and could play with it.

Through the same branch in MSDN documentation, you will find a number of walk-through articles on several WPF topics. We could not possibly present such walk-through introduction for you, because… you did not name any topics. There cannot be just WPF application; or it could be the application doing next to nothing, which you already have.
