So my friend is trying to develop a game like Clicker Heroes.

& he needs to know what the best way would be to go by when making such a game, would Unity be the best option? Or could he do it in a WPF app in visual studio.
What we are trying to figure out is what would be the "Smartest" way to go by, what would be the "easiest" he has a pretty good programming knowledge so that isnt going to be an issue. as I said we only need to find out what would be the smartest way for him to go by.
