I created a vs 2012 application using sql server express database. when I insert data with arabic letters is affiche like this "???????????" on the gridcontrol, how i can solve this problem ?

-Make sure that u use nvarchar data type instead of varchar
-Make Sure to use encoding UTF-8 in the aspx page head .

右键单击您的数据库 - > ;属性 - >选项

right click in ur database -> Propertise -> Options
then change the Collation to Arabic_100_bin
