Why bother learning VB.NET? Learn C# (as gently suggested by Piebald) and, if you really feel the urge to learn something else then devote yourself to a pretty different programming language (e.g. a functional one) C# and VB.NET are the Good-Looking and the Ugly son of the same parents.
