But the crucial thing is the approach that you follow in understanding and learning things.

My advice is to get into programming with what ever you know, never think of getting it wrong.

If something is wrong in your code, you can get back to your resources and this you will never forget things that you will learn.

This is somewhat hard way but effective, we will always tend to go for a book finish a chapter, try the examples in the book and feel happy that we have learnt something, but we forget it the next day.
