I have a form on which data grid is there i have binded a collection to that data grid. that collection has items say 100 so that data grid expands to all of them.

Tricks applied :
1. mentioned Height : My form is resolution independent. Need to stretch as user wants

Expected behavior : screen should open with a height that can be mentioned and user is allowed to re-size my form.

have you tried to insert you data grid into a tableLayoutPanel.

You can then dock the tableLayoutPanel and then the datagrid will stretch to the form size.
