hello guys,

im running my server on VM of ubuntu server.
i opend the db inside visual studio and it all went fine, i can see the tables, edit them and save.
problem is when im trying to access the server from inside the program i get this error:

A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)

thing is all the solutions that i found were for windows.

please help me out guys

btw.
the process is allready running
tcp 0 0 192.168.1.107:mysql *:* LISTEN 1098/mysqld

and i disabled the firewall
Firewall stopped and disabled on system startup
