i created one asp.net application and i set timeout in web config as 120(2hr). But if my user open the site and after logged in , they put order and they go another tab. after 30 min they come back to my site. so, when they give addtocart, all orders got lost becuase of session clear.

how can i maintain timeout in IIS?

there is two place to change timout in IIS. one is Defaultwebsite-->SesstionState-->cookie setting -->here we can extend the time out.

and application pool-->Advanced setting-->Idle Time-out(minutes) = 20

where i should extend the timeout in IIS to maintain my session more than 1hr. both places?

what is the difference b/w of those time out in IIS?

Can anybody lead me correctly?
