Hello,

This is my first post, so please bear with me. First, though, let me introduce myself: My name is Jessica and I am 30 years old. :-)

I want to build a custom Independent webkit based tabbed web browser, just like Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer are. The reasons I want to do this is because I have the extra time on my hands and It would be a Personal Project of mine.

Here is what I don't want:

1. I don't want to build mobile apps right now
2. Please don't tell me to just use Chrome or Firefox's code and manipulate it from there---I don't want to do that--I want to build my own independent web browser simply because I can and because I have the time.

Here are the tools I plan to use:

I already installed most of the developer tools (some failed to install, so I will need help on those). I installed the following developer tools (the ones marked with a * are the ones that either failed to install or I didn't understand how to install)

I have scoured the internet using every possible keyword I could think of. I am sure I have missed something somewhere. All of the videos I look at are about installing in Visual Basic (which is something I don't want to do) or having my web browser dependent on another browser such as Internet Explorer, Chrome, or Firefox (which defeats the purpose because I want to create my OWN independent webkit based tabbed web browser that can be downloaded and used on any Operating System)

I need step by step directions as to what goes where, among other things. Also, any books out there that y'all could recommend to me that would help me in building my own independent webkit based tabbed web browser would be most helpful as well.

I hope I have given enough detail as to what I want. If you have any questions, or want me to clarify some more, please don't hesitate to ask. Also, please tell me of any additional tools I will need, in case I forgot to mention.
