IMHO the way to your future is depends on you only, if you bind yourself to some specific technology/language/environment, you are doomed. You have to see beyond those things and touch the 'soul' of development. You have to learn to simplify problems into human terms and build towers from the simplified terms you got. New buzz-words are hits us every other hour but most of them only new names fro known things.
Now you ask Azure, but the difference if your application runs on single machine, in a distributed network, on mainframe or on the cloud - all these are technologies you may or may not use, but does not changes the way you have to design applications. It's true that at the bottom line you have to choose, but left it to the end - until then learn all you can and use all you can.
Always try to avoid the "Tyranny of the OR" and use the "Genius of the AND"...

Before you switch, you may find what is Azure and you can check their pricing at http://www.windowsazure.com/en-us/pricing/calculator/[^]. On my opinion, Azure is great option if we have high traffic on site. But, if you only host simple website, I would rather find traditional hosting/shared hosting as it will save a lot. Basically I found the solution on Microsoft Spotlight partner, I have ever tried asphostportal.com for my project and they are quite good and simple enough
