I have been talking with one java programmer and he told me that all of the Payment Gateways are designed in Java because they are secure in comparison of any .net based language.

Is it true?

Is not true. Security do not depends on this, and Java or .NET could be seen at "tools" for doing a job. You could chouse the tools that you like or that are you know better.

this is not true .net provide very strong security feature.
Java is famous becoz it come earier then .net and used many places but you many see .net is also one of the Top Language.
