as a beginner to programming i was assigned a task to develope a project for library management system in vb.net. Got struck on how to implement an email notification system. basically my project's main job is to remind the librarian to renew the magazines subscription by sending him emails a week prior to the updation of subscription based on dates set by librarian

in my idea, Create an application for checking Due Date Every day with System Date this very simple but this event start up when our application starts (Start Application Automatically by putting in Start up or any other way /Create a windows Service Application that running Behind ) ,if a week prior to the updation of subscription based on dates set by librarian then Configure your mail sending code.
