Hello There，

我在SharePoint Designer 2010 for SharePoint 2010列表中创建了工作流。

Hello There,

I have the workflow created in SharePoint Designer 2010 for SharePoint 2010 List. 

I have set the custom approval process for an employee to approve their form from email. So i have added "[%Current Task:Form_URN%]" link in the approval workflow email. 

All the employee have a view access to the form but they cannot able to approve the form from email with view only access. So what level of access does employee need to approve the form from here?  

I gave an employee a contribute permission in the workflow before the workflow start an approval process but when an employee open the [%Current Task:Form_URN%] link from the email the "Approve" option and the below screenshot is grayed out.

I am using people/group field so it find the employee and supervisor with presence and data coming from Active directory. 

Here is the workflow. I added all this steps in Impersonation step in sharepoint designer 2010 workflow. So if created by supervisor, replace that particular supervisor permission to Approve so supervisor can approve it from sharepoint list "Approve/Reject" option. 

When Supervisor approve the form from sharepoint list it should replace an employee's permission to "Contribute" and then start the "Approval" process with an employee. Then once the Employee approve it from the email it should replace supervisor and employee permission to view only. But this last part is not working it is not replacing permission for supervisor and employee to view only.



Can someone please explain why? Also what level of access does employee need to approve the form from email using "Form_URN" link?

Hi Priti,

If an user would like to approve an approval workflow in a SharePoint site, he needs to have Contribute (Edit) permission for the site.  You can refer to this article for more details about permission levels in SharePoint.

to be more specific, the approver needs contribute permission in the workflow associated task list to approve the item.
