all .. i'm working with a free Azure account .. and have brought up a hdinsights hadoop cluster. On the cluster instance I've installed a tomcat application that listens on port 8333. The problem is .. I can't figure out how to open that port up to the world. From my macbook I can get to Ambari, but any other port appears to be blocked off. How can i open this port up in the cluster?? I can see how to control access to the storage, but I'm looking for access a cluster port instead.

Currently, you cannot control/open additional network ports on an HDInsight cluster.

Linux-based HDInsight clusters only expose three ports publicly on the internet; 22, 23, and 443. These ports are used to securely access the cluster using SSH and services exposed over the secure HTTPS protocol.
