Dear Sir or Madam,

we are thinking about a heavy usage of Azure Media Services, but do not know if all our requirements regarding setting parameters for Video transcoding are available. In the documentation we did not found anything about settings for the following parameters:

- Keyframe Rate

- Keyframe Intervall

- Setting Keyframe to "IDR"

- Amount of reference frames

- Amount of B-Frames

- Deactivating B-Frames possible?

- Passes

- Cropping

Can you provide us an info if it is possible to configure it an appropriate way (e.g. via JSON)? If so, is it possible with Media Encoder Standard or only with the Premium Version?

Hi Andreas,

In our v3 APIs, the schema for controlling the encoder settings (customizing them) is carried in the Open API specs, or in the API documentation. 

However, if you do need to use cropping, I would recommend using the v2 APIs - see this document and this as a reference. If you are using a PC, you can download and install https://aka.ms/amse in order to experiment easily, without writing code.
