This is my first interaction with share point. We have a SP Site and under the list there is a table and when i click on it it shows the data from the table. This i was told two way, meaning when the users make a change to the data it gets updated in the end table ( sql server table) and also the data get loaded from the table and populates the list.

Two things , now i want to make this list to point to a different table on a different server (how do i edit that).

Secondly hows the data transfer happening between the list and the table. Please need help.
