Hello all,

I have created a URL ping test in an Application Insights resource. The ping test is carried on an Azure Web App hosted in the same region (Central India) as that of the Application Insights resource. I have created alert rule on the same and I have configured an email, sms and a webhook notification. I am referring to url: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/monitor/ for reference.

I wanted to know what in the above mentioned set up for the Application Insights ping test, where exactly would I be incurring charges. I have made a list of the probable areas. Wanted to know if I am correct in my understanding or whether I am missing any details.

1. Data Ingestion -- Will there be any data ingested in case of a url ping test? I dont think so. Please correct me if I am wrong.
2. Data Retention -- The data having results of every ping test will be retained for 90 days. There wont be any associated charges on this. Am I correct?
3. Alert rules -- I will be charged for the metrics signals. Am I correct?
4. Notifications
   1. Emails - 1000 free emails/month and later $2/100,000 emails. 
   2. Webhooks - 100,000 web hooks per month and later $0.60/1,000,000 web hooks
   3. SMS - India $0.0042/SMS

Kindly let me know if my understanding is correct on this.
