Is there a way to stop processing new items from queue while leaving already executing functions untouched to let them finish?

Currently after disabling one function in Azure portal the whole function app restarts and cancels running functions.

So just to clarify, you have a queue trigger function that is processing items. You want to stop it from receiving any new items, finish processing the ones it has then shutdown. Correct?
