I am using azure database for mysql, my db size is 170 GB and I have used 92% of it with actual size is about 163GB,  I found the backup size is 1.5 TB now, and it cost lots of money everyday for the huge backup size. I am only backup for 7 days . How could I the decrease cost ?

Hi Immyxm,

Backup storage is at no additional charge up to 100% of your database size. You are charged for any additional storage beyond 100% of your database size. If you are saving old backups that are not required to be saved under any data retention policy I highly suggest you delete these older backup files or move these to a lower cost storage option.
