Working with a project/solution in SSMS, v17.9 on Windows 10.  When I open the project, the previous session's tabs are opened, which is good.  If I click on any of those tabs, I expect to be able to edit in it.  However, when I click on it, it closes immediately, with an error message on the bottom status saying:  

Value cannot be null. Parameter name: o  The tab has been closed.

After some searching, a common solution is to check the %TEMP% and %TMP% environment variables to make sure they're valid. I did verify that they're valid and that I can read/write to the temp folder.
