We have a web application where we need to track the user's activity based on the user's authentication name & location using the IP address. We used the sample code on this link(docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-monitor/app/usage-send-user-context) but we couldn't set user id and location IP address.

Client IP will be zeroed out after AI extracts the Geo location information.  This is done to be compliant with the GDPR privacy policy for the EU.

"Application Insights collects client IP address. Country, state and city information will be extracted from it and than the last octet of IP address will be set to 0 to make it non-identifiable. So Application Insights will never store an actual IP address by default."
