I am trying to connect Azure AD as a federated identity provider to an AWS Cognito User pool.

I have followed this AWS guide:

When we have gone through the Azure AD login page, we end up with a response saying:

We never tested the AWS cognito pool application. But I assume that it should use AWS IAM stack. With that if you are building the federation between AWS and Azure AD then you should setup the Identifier for the application as ‘urn:amazon:cognito:sp:eu-west-1_zfYOQp1Hl’ in Azure AD. With that the error will go away.
