Hi There,

I am working on one of the very old legacy code migration of VB6 to VB.NET. Most of the things are working in line with our expectations, The issues are primarily on MSFlexGridControl and MSHirarechialFlexGridControl. . The application when used end user machine where there is no Visual Basic 6.0 or Visual Studio dot net. It gives following error,

You must have license to use activeX controls. 

Following the this link to download the license files from either VS2005 professional version and get the license files for those controls in Extra\VB6 directory and VBControls.reg file.   When I downloaded the iso of CD2 from Visual Studio 2005 professional version, I could not find the required registry file. 

Is there any way to get those license file?

Visual Studio 2005 does not install the license information for Visual Basic 6.0 ActiveX controls, so \Extras\VB6 Controls folder is not in the visual studio 2005 installation Disk. 

\Extras\VB6 Controls folder is in VB 6.0, you need to copy \Extras\VB6 Controls folder from a machine that has VB 6.0 installed to Visual Studio 2005 Installation Disk if you don’t want to Install Visual Basic 6.0 on the computer that is running Visual Studio 2005.
