I'm trying to build on top of the Text to Speech platform but I'm having issues with the SSML implementation in my app which leads me to the question: is there any way to just send the text and the voice name I want to use in an API request and get the audio back instead of using SSML?

You can skip it if you use Standard Voices/ Custom Voices. Please refer to following document:
