How can I protect the Employee Identification number  stored in the employee table. At  the moment it is kept as nvarchar. But I dont want to see this value by other people  from the  select statement . It should be visible only through the   application. But when somebody giving select statement from the table , the value should be visible or should not be readable. How can I implement . please help
