I am having some serious problems with the Document ID feature. In some situations, my documents are not given document ids when added to the library.

It seems rather random, but these are the common denominators:

• The *same* CT works in one site collection but not others

• If it works in one library in a site collection, it will work in all libraries in that site collection.
• If it does not work in one library in a site collection, it will not work in any of the libraries in the site collection

After some digging with SharePoint Manager 2010, I found that the documents that have not been assigned Document IDs, haven't got the Properties to store the document id. The following Property keys are missing from those items:

 

_dlc_DocId

_dlc_DocIdItemGuid

_dlc_DocIdUrl

_dlc_DocId
_dlc_DocIdItemGuid
_dlc_DocIdUrl

因此，如果没有属性键，我们就无法存储属性值。

So then it makes perfect sense that without property keys we cannot store the property values.
