This is a non question. None of us work for Facebook, and if we did, we'd be bound by NDAs. What are you asking exactly ? Posts are kept private because you need to log in to Facebook to see any posts, and then the posts you see, are defined by the settings of the people who posted them. Comments are something else again. Comments are shown if you can see the original post, there's no other filtering that I know of, and notifications are secure because they are sent to an email address. If you're logged in to Facebook, it also makes regular AJAX calls to find out about new posts and shows notifications on the page. That's a ton of different things, all of which might relate to your vague post, and none of which qualify as a real programming question, IMO.
