Sorry for the funny title, when i try to open the visual studio, it just comes and goes in a flash, not even 1 second, the dialog box stays. It just goes away as it is flash. I have tried repairing it, restarted the system after  that, uninstalled it and restarted the system and then installed again, but Still the problem persists.

Could you help me with this???

Welcome to the MSDN forum.

Don’t worried about this, I will keep on investigating this further.

Firstly, please tell me your OS version and VS version.

Then see if you have this file: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\Installer\resources\app\layout on your machine. If so, please navigate to this path, find InstallCleanup.exe and launch it from an admin command prompt with a -full param: InstallCleanup.exe –full. If not, please manually delete the "%programfiles(x86)%\Microsoft Visual Studio\Installer" folder. reboot your PC

Next, installing all pending hotfixes in windows update, disable all anti-virus, clean up %temp% folder and run exe with admin privilege.

See the result if this issue still persists. I need your help to collect installation log. Please use  the Microsoft Visual Studio and .NET Framework Log Collection Tool to gather the installation logs. After using it, you will find vslogs.zip under %temp% folder. Please upload the file to https://onedrive.live.com/ and share the link here.
