Hello Guys, 

i am setting up performance environment for an .NET application. There are two server 

• Application Server - Here application will be hosted on IIS , Windows OS server version
• Data Server - Here i need to install SQL server 2017, i need to decide which edition i should install here as going for Standard and enterprise will have COST to it though it business's decision about licensing. 

Please help me decide which SQL edition should be chosen for performance testing ? 

Is it should be what we have on Live environment or Express or Developer edition can be there also ?

please help,

I think which edition you use depends on your actual needs, if you are asking for high performance to a large extent. I suggest you use the enterprise edition.
