I downloaded Azure DevOps Server 2019, did the install, waited 90 seconds or so for the "start wizard" to unfreeze.  Only then did I discover that I had been handed pre-release software.  When I went to uninstall, the uninstall process took about five minutes.  Seriously, five minutes.  Sorry for posting in this forum, but there isn't even a forum yet for DevOps Server.

We're really sorry to hear about your experience.

We honestly haven't had many users report this issue with Azure DevOps which makes me suspect that this could be a one-off issue. Have you had a chance to run through the Requirements and compatibility page before you started? Also, once the installation completes, the Configuration stage of the Azure DevOps installation procedure runs a series of readiness checks. These checks make sure that your system meets the requirements and that your setting selections are likely to work. If there are issues, you'll be presented with one or more warnings or errors. When all the errors have been resolved, you then run the configuration to finish setting up your deployment.

While we understand the reason for your unhappiness, we would also sincerely request you to give it another try and see if it gets any better this time. Meanwhile, we will ensure that we work with the appropriate Team to see what caused this behavior and how we can prevent this from happening going forward, to give our Users the best experience with using Azure Services!
