I'm using windows webapp (WordPress) and MySQL instance in AZURE . Is it possible to open MySQL port only for webapp ip? Instead of open to world ?

I tried whitelisting webapp IP for the port 3306 , but after doing that I'm getting "established in a connection" .

Hi Aragu,

To be able to accomplish this, you will need to run your WordPress instance in an Azure App Service Environment. This is a specific service offering that gives you static ip addresses. If your WordPress instance is running in an Azure App Service instance, then you are subject to a dynamic ip range and you will have no control over the specific ip address to be whitelisted for your Azure Database for MySQL deployment. Please see the following documentation with regard to this specific topic, including instructions for obtaining your Web App IP address:

Please confirm if you are using a bundled deployment of WordPress with MySQL or if you have deployed WordPress with in an App Service and have a seperate Azure Database for MySQL instance.
