Currently i'm using SQL SERVER 2008 R2.

I was tyring to copy data from one database table to another database table
where in the destination database i haven't created any table.

my sql query i was trying to do,

plz check, n let me know...

      INSERT INTO dbo.tbl_section
      select * from dbo.nps.section

MSG 208 is basically saying that the table is not part of the database - it's a "table not found" error if you like.

[edit]It's possible I am losing my mind here - that doesn't work at all on my dev SQL 2008 setup...
So: try SELECT INTO instead:

SELECT * INTO NewTab FROM MyTable
