Hi

One of our uses for SharePoint is to publish organisation news and announcements. I want users to be alerted when a new news item is added to ensure more people are aware when news is published.

Is there a way I can set an alert up for all users in my environment? Or if not using alerts, is there another way I can do this?

Hi Mike,

You can create one Domain Group Called Everyone in Active Directory, then add that domain group in the List/Library Alert, so that all users will get an email once news created but the mail content is not customizable

Or you can do it using SharePoint Workflow to send a bulk email
