I had perfectly running SSAS cube in 2 schemas eg. A and B. I linked already existing dim and measure group in DimensionUsage tab with Regular relationship. And then deployed the cube using deployment wizard--> run deployment script in mentioned both schemas.

schema A got updated with changes but schema B is not behaving as expected.

To be more clear on this ..

2 schemas are actually 2 SSAS databases with exactly same structure for separate user base.

First I created a relationship in DSV, then linked conformed (shared) dimension sDim with measure group dFact with Regular relationship in DimensionUsage tab. Deployed the cube same way in both DB using: Build --> deployment wizard--> retain roles & permissions--> full process --> generate deployment script--> run script on SSAS DB and then process the cube.

Till now its fine but when I go for testing by browsing the cube in SSAS DB, it works in schema A. means I am able to get the different dFact data against different members of sDim. But for schema B, for every sDim members dFact data is same, means these two are NOT linked.

I compared things between these 2 DBs. All dimensions in A having <DimensionPermission> tag except sDim. And All dimensions in B having <DimensionPermission> tag including sDim (attached code block). THis is something weird finding but not sure if this is the reason. Also not sure why this difference when cube/dim creation and deployment is exactly same from same source.

Please help to rectify at the earliest. Any guess/clue is most welcome. Many Thanks
