I went to the FB for Developers page and copied all the code and pasted them into my website in the right places (hopefully), but EW flags the "data-*" code lines as invalid for HTML5.

Does the page work? If so, ignore the warning. FP-specific tags would not be in EW's understanding.  The "data-..." structure can take any value your code wants to use, so EW would never know all the custom uses of it.
