I am getting the error "Unable to load the specified metadata resource" on a single entity object, when I am starting up Visual Studio and enter the project for the first time of the day. It requires me to:

open the edmx in Diagram view > select all objects > delete all objects > right-click > Update model from database > in dialog box, under Add, check Tables and Views > click Finish
