Like everyone else, I'm being pushed by our I.T. dept to replace all of my VFP apps with a platform that's "supported". I have hundreds of unique applications that manage very large sets of PDF files. Tasks include copying and renaming files, indexing, writing html, exporting to SQL, monitoring shared folders for content, data-mining SGML, etc. Obviously C# would be a good candidate, but with hundreds of thousands of lines of code written over the past 18 years, and with only 4 years to retirement, re-writing everything from scratch seems daunting. Does anyone know of a platform that could translate VFP code, even if it required some massaging? I realize I'm searching for the equivalent of the holy grail here, but I'm certainly not the only one.
