It seems there is some issue with Microsoft IE 11.0.20 (kb-3058515) as Compatibility META tag is not working properly. EMulateIE7 is having some issue with display of page.

When use the IE 11.0.21 (kb-3065822) then the compatibility issue is resolved.

Did anybody face the same challenge?

Why this is the case and how it could be resolved in patch 11.0.20 as update to 11.0.21 will again take more time.

Hi,

do you have a valid document type declaration in the page?

do you use innerHTML assignments? do you use document.write statements?

from your description it sounds like you are encountering a fix for last month that partly addressed issues with innerHTML assignments and document.write statements... the full fix involves correcting your dtd's and x-ua meta values to use a documentMode > 8.

Why are you using the IE7 x-ua meta? You should be coding to standards and providing a gracefull fallback for browsers in your testing stack.... (modernizr.js, jquery.js, html5.js)

Intranet web sites may already be using IE7 emulation (see Tools>Compatibility View settings>"Include Intranet sites in compatibility view", File>Properties menu to determine which IE security zone  (Internet, Intranet) your website domain maps to.)
