I have a really trivial problem with Visio (but pretty important to me) : My diagram dimension cannot be changed.

> I allowed shape modification in the 'Developper Tab', and I tried changing the shape dimensions both directly on the shape, and using the 'shape and position tool'.

> The diagram's dimensions either get totally messed up (for eg changing to 100mm instead of 70mm) or only change slightly (getting to 75mm instead of 70mm).

Some of the column I was able to change approximately to the needed dimension, others are just a complete mess.

Generally, we can specify dimensions by using the Size & Position window. On the View tab, in the Show group, click Task Panes, and then click Size & Position. Select a shape to see and edit information about that shape.
