支持是主要优势.. Silverlight不断更新......如果你是专业人士，那么有人会赚大钱。这意味着..如果你有钱购买silverlight应用程序会有更多优势..

另外，由于你是我自己的新手，我选择了Silverlight，因为Flash用户只展示媒体部分"以避免火红的" ：P

I'm just curious as to what the msdn forum members have to say about this exact question. What's better in silveright than it'd be in flash. What reasons would someone have to use silverlight? What benefits does it hold for the developer. What are your reasons for using it if you do.

I'm not doing one of those "flame war" threads i'm simply asking as i want to learn a rich format language and i'm debating on if i want learn how to make web applications with silverlight or Flash.  The posts in this thread will help me decide on which language to use. If there are no benefits for using silverlight i'll obviously just use flash since that's compatible with all oses. The main reason why i'm putting this thread though is b/c flash has yet to have native 64bit support whereas i believe that silverlight does. The main reason why i'm not auto-going into silverlight is because microsoft has of course done what they always do not including linux into their oses they developed the programs for.  Moonlight is ok but from what i've seen it's ~1v behind silverlight for mac/windows. And as i'm all for cross-platform usage i don't want to limit out any one major type of os from viewing my works.

Well support is the main advantage.. Silverlight is updated constantly.. there are people making major money if you are a pro at creating Silverlight programs.. that means.. more advantages if you have the money to buy silverlight apps.. 

Also as you are new as myself, I have chose Silverlight because Flash users only show off the media portion "to avoid the flaming" :P
