Hello Alavudeen_A,

I would take a look at WCF (Windows Communication Foundation) books. The newest version - WCF 4 has a few articles about it which I'm sure you can find by doing a simple google on WCF 4. Until those books officially come out, you can take a look at WCF 3 and books/articles related to that. I'm sure you'll be able to find a lot of great articles out there as WCF is pretty powerful and easy to implement.

As to your question about the difference between SOAP and HTTP - take a look at this thread: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/forums/en-US/asmxandxml/thread/968f15c8-07f9-4e25-bb82-06702ca01e5a . There are also tons of articles on both of these technologies as they are very mature.
