I work with VB6.0 software (mostly accounting related).  Each entry requires a date to be entered.  I would like to prepare for the date by displaying only the "slashes".  I have written for years in FoxPro for DOS in which I would simply enter the following in a format or other screen:

  "get trxdate picture "  /  /    " 

is there anything like that in VB6.0?

Visual Basic 6 should have a Masked Edit Control that may suit your purposes.  It's been 8 years since I used it last, but that's what comes to mind.
