I wonder if anyone else has seen this error. To reproduce:

 

- Open several tabs in Internet Explorer.

- Close one or more tabs but leave at least one open.

- Open another tab (right-click a hyperlink and select "Open in new tab").

 

Result: Internet Explorer closes down, I don't even get an error message.

I have a similar problem that is driving me nuts, I may have 3 or 5 tabs open, when I close a couple of them, IE7 just hangs then the bar at the very top of the page says Internet explorer not responding. Endless error reports just tell me its a windows problem.I have no toolbars running, minimal add ons. All windows updates are up to date. I think it started after xp 3 service pack but not sure. Its frustrating. Ive deleted temp files etc nothing seems to correct it.

Any sugestion gratefully accepted.
