i wrote below tag in webconfig:

Reason for this error is that you have defined connectionStrings inside <runtime> tag which is not right place. Now what you have to do is to delete connectionStrings inside <runtime> tag and if you look properly inside in your web.config there is already tag defined for <connectionstrings/> (just below <appSettings/>). Replace that with below
