I am working with Access (office 365) and Visual Basic. I need to install Microsoft Access Database Engine. I downloaded the 64 bit version and started the install. Got a message saying there are 32 bit office components on my machine and I can't install a 64 bit engine. Fair enough. So, I download the 32 but version of Access Database engine then I get the message that there are 64 bit office components on my machine so I can't install this either.

Anyone know what is going on here? Any ideas will be appreciated

According to your description, it seems that you have installed multiple version of office. please remove an earlier version of Office and check if it works for you.
